Head Varsity Football Coach
THE DELAWARE COUNTY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL SOCIETY, Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, United States
Delaware County Christian School is seeking an energetic, committed, and mission‑driven Head Varsity Football Coach to lead our football program beginning in Fall 2026. We are looking for a coach who demonstrates strong knowledge of the game, a passion for developing student‑athletes, and a commitment to fostering a culture of sportsmanship, safety, and excellence. The ideal candidate will model professionalism, communicate effectively, and disciple athletes in their growth both on and off the field. Above all, the Head Coach will lead the program in a way that honors the Lord and represents DC with integrity.
Qualifications
A personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Alignment with the school's Statement of Faith (available on our website).
Ability to articulate and model a Christian philosophy of athletics.
Strong knowledge of football fundamentals, skills, and game strategy, with the ability to teach and communicate effectively at the varsity level.
Ability to plan, structure, and lead effective practices.
Ability to organize and coach the team during games and competitive events.
Previous high school, college, or professional football coaching experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Lead and conduct daily practices between 3:00–7:00 p.m.
Develop team rosters, create game plans, and ensure effective implementation.
Travel with the team and drive a school van to practices or games as needed.
Foster a positive, Christ‑centered team culture and maintain open communication with athletes, families, and the athletic department.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Season: Fall 2026
