Director, Cardiac/Vascular Service Line at Memorial Hospital Belleville/Memorial Hospital Shiloh
Looking for a nursing leader to oversee the Cardiac/Cath Lab, the EP/Pacer Lab, non‑invasive cardiac diagnostics, CT surgery office, wound center including IP wound, and the strategic oversight of the Cardiac/Vascular Service Line.
Overview Memorial Hospital Belleville
is an acute‑care hospital offering medical and surgical services plus critical and emergency care, including pediatric emergency care at Children’s at Memorial. It provides patients a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services as well as heart and vascular care. Memorial, accredited as a Chest Pain Center with PCI by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care, is also an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital and a recognized Lung Cancer Screening Center. Since 2008 it has been Magnet‑recognized for nursing excellence.
Memorial Hospital Shiloh , a 94‑bed, all‑private‑suite hospital, was recognized with Magnet status in 2018 and provides emergency care, labor & delivery, nursery, medical and surgical services plus critical care.
The Nursing Administration oversees the various Nursing departments and provides clerical support.
Role Purpose Responsible for the operational, financial and human‑resource management of all cost centers associated with the Cardiac and Vascular Service Line. Cost centers include the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, the EP/Pacer Lab, non‑invasive cardiac diagnostics, CT surgery office, and the Cardiac/Vascular Service Line. The position serves as liaison for physicians on related issues, and involves ongoing clinical and business development. The role collaborates with other clinical areas to ensure that state‑of‑the‑art equipment and best practices are implemented and maintained.
Responsibilities
Manages individuals, including onboarding and hiring, training, workload management and performance evaluations, and conducts professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of the group support the overall operational goals of the department.
Collaborates with physicians, service line team members and administrative staff to plan, assess and revise goals, objectives and strategies related to business development.
Analyzes financial performance—including profitability, market share, utilization of resources and physician practice patterns—and makes plans to positively impact results.
Integrates the service line within the medical center structure by working cooperatively with department directors and managers to design a coordinated service for patients and families.
Explores internal and external opportunities to promote the service line to customers.
Minimum Requirements Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Nursing or related field
Experience
5–10 years of relevant experience
Supervisor Experience
5–10 years of supervisory experience
Preferred Requirements Education
Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
