Role Overview In support of Supply Chain, a role in Strategy, Product, and Innovation (SPI) means creating industry‑leading intelligence solutions to drive best‑in‑class omnichannel guest experiences at the lowest cost to Target. The TTOPS product team sits within SPI and is responsible for delivery of product outcomes that enable the future transportation operating model. Transportation’s role in Supply Chain is critical as it enables getting inventory into our network (First Mile), moving inventory within our network (Middle Mile), and delivering goods to the Guest (Last Mile). We’re looking for exceptional people who are proactive, creative, independent, innovative, risk‑savvy, and comfortable working in varying degrees of ambiguity.

Product Director of Domestic Execution Accountable for the product portfolio that powers the movement of inventory across Target’s Global Supply Chain and Logistics (GSCL) network—both inbound and outbound. This role enables seamless execution by developing and optimizing technology that supports data foundations, transit time accuracy, inbound scheduling, trailer content services, and yard management.

Responsibilities

As a strategic and product leader, drive initiatives that deliver transformational improvements in supply chain visibility, accuracy, efficiency, and cost optimization.

Set the overall strategic vision for your product space and product team, and be accountable for achieving identified business outcomes and metrics.

Set and manage the product’s budget and financials, including short‑ and long‑term goals and quarterly OKRs.

Build, coach, and mentor a strong team of product managers while fostering a culture of progress, transparency, and efficiency across Product teams.

Drive product discovery with stakeholders to validate hypotheses and concepts with customers before committing engineering time, leading highly complex work across multiple pyramids with interrelated specialties.

Leverage data and analytics to provide competitive analysis, drive decision making, assess the health and effectiveness of products and related P&L impacts, and deliver recommendations to key stakeholders.

Possess an understanding of retail or similar areas, relevant technologies, and design principles to drive innovative and scalable solutions across multiple pyramids.

Qualifications

Four‑year degree or equivalent experience.

10+ years of experience in supply chain operations—such as transportation, warehouse management, or purchasing—with experience in transportation operations preferred; leading or collaborating with product teams.

Experience leading and developing teams.

Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams.

Strong communication skills and proven ability to influence at a strategic leadership level and cross‑functionally.

Expertly works in an agile environment (e.g., user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas).

Strategic mindset and bias for action with strong ability for strategic planning, defining OKRs, and driving business outcomes.

Ability to lead and influence a team while fostering relationships across multiple enterprise‑wide teams.

Work Arrangement This position is a hybrid/flex arrangement where core duties must be performed both onsite at the Target HQ in MN and virtually, depending on the team and tasks. Work duties cannot be performed outside the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
