We are seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a 91-day locum tenens assignment with our client in Indiana. This opportunity begins on Dec 22, 2025, and features 24-hour call coverage. The ideal candidate will provide adult cardiac and general thoracic surgical care, managing a range of complex procedures throughout the assignment.

Schedule: 24-hour call coverage from Dec 22, 2025, to Jan 5, 2026, with potential for ongoing sporadic coverage

Responsibilities and Duties

Perform adult cardiac surgeries, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and arterial revascularization using internal mammary, radial, and gastroepiploic arteries

Conduct redo coronary revascularization with or without heart valve surgery

Manage tube thoracostomy and pericardial window procedures

Perform general thoracic surgeries including thoracotomy lung biopsy, lung resections and pneumonectomy, thoracotomy decortication, chest wall resection and reconstruction, mediastinal surgery, and mediastinotomy with biopsy

Complete heart valve repair and replacement surgeries, including CoreValve system and mitral valve repair

Additional Information

Must hold an active Indiana medical license

Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery required

Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification required

Experience with adult patient populations necessary
