is seeking a
dynamic and change-oriented hematologist-oncologist
to serve as
Associate Medical Director (0.2 FTE)
for our regional cancer centers based in
Damariscotta (MaineHealth Cancer Care - Damariscotta), Belfast (MaineHealth Cancer Care- Belfast) , and
Rockport (MaineHealth Pen Bay Hospital Cancer Care) . The
clinical practice (0.8 FTE)
will be based primarily at
Pen Bay Hospital Cancer Care and Waldo Hospital MaineHealth Cancer Care- Belfast .

new state-of-the-art cancer center in Rockport, ME .
About the Leadership Role As
Associate Medical Director , you will:
Provide
regional clinical leadership
across three community cancer programs.
Oversee and support a team of
5 budgeted physicians and 5 APPs
in collaboration with operational leadership.
Work closely with specialists in
Radiation Oncology, Palliative Care, Surgical Oncology , and other disciplines to advance integrated, team-based care.
Guide initiatives in
quality improvement, safety, productivity, and clinical engagement.
Lead efforts to maintain and elevate
quality accreditations , including
ASCO QOPI, Commission on Cancer (CoC), NAPBC , and other relevant standards.
Serve as a liaison to the
Senior Medical Director
and
Chief of Oncology Service Line
at MHCCN.
Play a pivotal role in guiding the design and transition into the
new Rockport Cancer Center , shaping care delivery for years to come.

MHCC .

clinical trials
through the NCI’s Community Oncology Research Program
(NCORP) . Academic engagement through a
faculty position with Tufts University School of Medicine
and participation in the
MaineHealth Hematology-Oncology Fellowship Program .
Innovation:
Use of
EPIC with BEACON , embedded with
CancerLinQ, eSyM, Abridge ambient documentation , and other innovative digital tools.
Flexibility & Balance:
Patients mix can be tailored to allow for a hybrid general hematology oncology and subspecialty practice.
Competitive Call Schedule:
Phone-based call shared with Pen Bay Medical Center and Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick, ME (approximately 1 week every 6 weeks). First calls taken by the NPs.
