Clinical Director – Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia School of Medicine seeks an MD, MD/PhD or equivalently trained physician to serve as Clinical Director for Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular therapy, joining our growing Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and to lead development of the clinical program in partnership with division, department and institutional leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead development and oversight of the pediatric stem cell transplant and cellular therapy clinical program, coordinating with division and institutional leadership.

Provide both outpatient and inpatient care for patients undergoing autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplants, CAR T cell infusions, and associated toxicities.

Serve as a teacher and mentor to learners, fostering a culture of education and clinical excellence.

Participate in clinical/translational research and support the program’s pursuit of FACT accreditation.

Engage with patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff to deliver compassionate, high‑quality care.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree, board‑certified or board‑eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.

Deep clinical expertise in autologous and allogeneic stem cellplants, CAR T cell infusions and associated toxicities.

Demonstrated experience in program development toward FACT accreditation.

Strong clinical skills, ability to connect with children, families, and staff.

Experience in clinical/translational research and mentorship of learners.
