Responsibilities
Collaborate with other executives of the hospital regarding quality improvement development, motivate leadership in medical staff and conduct meetings effectively.
Maintain current knowledge of issues related to hospital, clinics, and outpatient services, including The Joint Commission, legal issues, Medicare, CCAH and other payers.
Develop data tools to evaluate clinical outcomes; understanding of Healthcare Information Technology is required, including experience with EMR implementations, training, Medical Management, Healthcare Law, and Quality Improvement. Completion of physician executive leadership coursework and management skills training is expected.
Design effective clinical practice patterns and clinical protocols to decrease inappropriate utilization and enhance quality outcomes with current knowledge of hospital clinical quality, benchmarking, and best practices.
Manage strategic planning, budgeting, management and goal setting with familiarity with medical staff organization, credentialing, bylaws, rules and regulations, accreditation standards, and the principles of healthcare laws and regulations.
Qualifications
MD or DO with Board Certification.
Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration preferred.
8 years of practice experience.
5 years of senior management or CMO experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Professional license to practice medicine in Oregon and an active DEA number required.
Pay Range Base pay range: $188,400.00/yr - $247,350.00/yr.
Location Portland, OR.
