Base pay range $155,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr

Founded in 2012, Invisible North is a female-owned creative marketing agency headquartered in NYC with global reach. We are a team of culturally fluent account experts, strategists, creatives, designers, and producers pushing the limits of possibility. Together, we champion creativity and build thoughtful campaigns, experiences, and content that solve business problems and bring brands to life.

We are looking for a Senior Account Director based in our NYC office to play a key role in senior leadership on the account team. You will also lead client strategy and execution for select clients while building plans that deliver on brand KPI’s. The Senior Account Director will also lead oversight and, in some cases, lead day-to-day functions of client service management on key accounts with a focus on client relationships and interdepartmental collaboration, all while maintaining agency and team responsibilities of driving growth amongst your clients, program and team profitability, team development, operations, and fiscal management.

Additionally, this role will positively contribute to making Invisible North’s culture an envy of the industry, a studio that turns out jaw-dropping creative and design, and does so by upholding an inclusive, flexible, and giving work environment.

While our main office is located in DUMBO, Brooklyn, we work as a distributed team. For this role, we do prefer that part of your time be spent collaborating with the team in person in our Brooklyn office.

This position is full-time with a 90-day entry contract.

Leadership

Sets the bar by leading diplomatically with confidence and handling stressful situations with self-awareness and a calm, balanced demeanor that touches every level of the organization

Provides leadership and mentorship to the account team as well as your project teams

Acts as a talent champion (the eyes of the client before the client)

Drives and supports change management in a positive, efficient manner

Works collaboratively with other key leadership on interdepartmental teams

Client Relationships

Key partner and oversight (and often seen as client poc for escalation), able to manage and make recommendations to a high volume of complex clients

Seeks opportunities in the marketplace to gather information from various channels and stakeholders to develop comprehensive plans

Utilizes knowledge of industry landscape and clients' business to establish long-term objectives with clients, producing business models that drive our competitive advantage through innovation

Ownership in delivering robust ROI presentations to clients that link to their business strategy

Fiscal Management

Manages a large volume of business with multiple clients, including oversight of several key clients; accountable for revenue targets and margins for each project

Shares responsibility for resource management and business targets

Supports creation of fiscal plans for BU & Clients

Develops OGSM content

Business Development

Responsible for new business growth and individual growth targets

Develops a pipeline of potential new business through networking and external resourcesStrategic development for RFPs of new and existing clients

Operations

Leadership with shared services to identify and find solutions for opportunities to minimize business disruptions and streamline processes

Supports developing resourcing plans within the Business Unit; oversees multiple clients with a strategic lens, which results in substantial pay-off

Supports the financial goals of both client and agency

Development of playbooks and best practices to implement in the field and with the account team

Mitigation of risk and liability of the organization as a whole

Skills + Qualifications

Must have a minimum of 9-11 years of client service, leadership and/or management

Experience at an experiential or event agency strongly preferred

Based in NYC and able to work in the office (preferred)

Proven presentation and deck writing, and developing skills

Ability to lead logistical and strategic RFP’s

Experience and ability to build complex program budgets and manage both out-of-pocket spends as well as agency time (in partnership with production)

Ability to manage cross-functional teams (ie. Creative, insights, production) and change communication style based on which team

Experience in managing a team of direct and indirect reports, with exposure to conflict management

Balanced with confidence and being self-aware to approach audiences both informally and in formal presentations

Able to travel to project locations and the IN Office as needed

Availability to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed for specific projects (and to be made up with compensatory time off)

Compensation Full Time salary: $155,000 -170,000 / yr
