Software Development Sr. Director
Join Oracle as a Senior Director responsible for driving the strategy, design, delivery, and operational excellence of software components of VCN Dataplane – the networking virtualization stack for OCI. You will lead a highly technical geographically distributed team, partner with key stakeholders across OCI, and ensure alignment with OCI’s strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
Define product strategy and roadmap in partnership with product management and senior leaders.
Represent the organization at VP and SVP levels.
Operate large scale software fleets to meet OCI’s scale requirements.
Collaborate with peers and senior leadership to identify product and customer requirements, coordinate delivery, and integrate solutions to meet business needs.
Recruit and build a capable, cohesive engineering team that delivers complex projects on time.
Influence other teams and cultivate a high‑performance culture.
Qualifications
A BS or MS degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 10 years of people management experience, with a proven track record in managing large‑scale critical services.
Expertise in strategic planning, resource management, and performance optimization within a technology‑driven environment.
Exceptional decision‑making abilities, with experience influencing senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
Strong background recruiting, developing, and leading senior individual contributors and building high‑performing teams.
Ability to make decisions that significantly impact organizational infrastructure, revenue, and long‑term operational success.
Expertise in low‑level programming languages (C/C++), distributed systems, networking, and cloud infrastructure operations.
Experience managing large‑scale critical services in a cloud computing environment.
