The Branch Operations Manager is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience and providing clarity, focus and motivation to achieve branch excellence. Supports the Branch Manager in achieving superior financial results and expanding existing relationships. Responsible for the administration and efficient daily operation of a full-service branch office, including operations, audit & compliance, product sales, customer service, cash control, security, and safety in accordance with the company’s objectives. The Branch Operations Manager collaborates with the Branch Manager to build and develop a diverse, high-performing branch team, and performs all duties in accordance with the Company’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws. How You’ll Make a Difference Supports the Branch Manager in instilling and maintaining a positive sales environment through education of the Bank’s products and services; investigates and follows up on significant changes in status of existing customers; motivates and monitors staff in cross selling and product presentation compared to goals; meets with customers to discuss needs or concerns and outlines appropriate Bank services. Responsible for the overall branch customer experience by assisting clients with deposits and withdrawals, cashing checks, transfers, issuing bank checks, cash advances, loan processing and payments, and other customer transactions as needed. Responsible for creating new deposit relationships, providing a superior level of customer experience and promoting the sales and service culture. Promotes the corporate culture through coaching, guidance, and staff motivation and supports the company’s philosophy of Building Excellence. Provides leadership and training; may perform duties in the absence of the Branch Manager. Works with the Branch Manager on disciplinary actions, interviewing candidates, and supervising daily team activities, including delegation, scheduling, and training. Ensures operational compliance within the branch, including teller cash counts, certifications, new/closed account reports, CTR filings, suspicious activity reporting, elder abuse reporting, and adherence to policies and procedures. Collaborates with marketing to identify and implement sales-supporting strategies and events. Performs duties of the branch staff to ensure audit compliance and new account review requirements. Oversees daily check scanning, vault and ATM settlement, night drop deposits, and assists with opening/closing procedures. Approves wire transfers up to the designated limit and approves exceptions to new accounts, check holds, and CD discretionary rate adjustments. Coordinates with Compliance and Branch Administration regarding audits; ensures deficiencies are corrected and that the branch complies with policies and regulations. Promotes a respectful, ethical, and inclusive work environment; upholds the bank’s values and expectations. Follows policies and procedures; completes tasks correctly and on time; supports the company’s goals and values. Performs the position safely and reports unsafe conditions; complies with OSHA standards and applicable regulations. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 5 years’ related experience and/or training in branch management operations and/or lending within financial services. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Advanced experience in branch management and supervisory activities, financial statement review, and lending terminology. Intermediate skills in computer operation, mainframe systems, word processing, spreadsheets, and software programs. Strong math skills; ability to balance accounts and compute percentages; interpret data and graphs. Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply instructions and write reports and correspondence clearly. Ability to cross-sell and explain bank products and services with confidence and authority. Ability to make decisions with moderate impact on the immediate work unit; capable of organizing and prioritizing own and team work schedules. Ability to work with little supervision. Current California driver’s license and vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage for job duties. Salary Range The full-time base salary range for this position is $68,640.00 - $74,000.00 USD per year. Final offer is based on education, experience, training, and other market factors.
