Revenue Cycle Assistant Business Office Manager
We are seeking a Revenue Cycle Assistant Business Office Manager (ABOM) to oversee financial and administrative operations in our skilled nursing facility. The primary purpose of the Assistant Business Office Manager is to assist the Revenue Cycle Business Office Manager with daily duties, including insurance verifications, billing and reimbursement, credit and collections, and other financial matters as directed by the Business Office Manager. We are looking for a friendly, detail‑oriented and experienced ABOM for this role.
The ideal candidate should be able to manage multiple priorities, engage in financial conversations with residents, handle complex situations positively, and thrive in an ever‑changing fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist with insurance verifications, billing and reimbursement
Manage credit and collections
Handle other financial matters as directed by the Business Office Manager
Collect out‑of‑pocket co‑pays from residents and families
Follow up and seek payment on insurance, Medicare and Medicaid claims
Work with residents to complete Medicaid pending application process based on NC State requirements
Maintain communication with residents in a professional manner
Qualifications
Prefer skilled nursing facility experience
Minimum of 1 year of healthcare related revenue cycle experience (Medicare, Medicaid, insurance billing perspective)
Willingness to work with residents and families to collect out‑of‑pocket co‑pays
Ability to follow‑up and seek payment on insurance, Medicare and Medicaid claims
Experience with Medicaid pending application processes
Note: This is not a remote position and will report to the facility Monday‑Friday
