Front Desk Sales Associate AM shifts:
7am‑1pm (weekend rotation) PM shifts:
4pm‑8pm (weekend rotation) – weekend shifts 7am‑2pm.
Requirements
1+ years of fitness, health & wellness or service sales experience
Ability to manage and drive multiple streams including memberships and retail
Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills in person, on the telephone and via email
Ability to excel in a fast changing, diverse environment
Ability to recognize areas of improvement and make changes using good judgement
An affinity and passion for fitness
Solid writing and grammar skills
Highly organized, proficient in data management, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Professional, punctual, reliable and neat
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Trustworthy and ability to handle confidential information
Ability to work harmoniously with co‑workers, clients and the general public
Proficiency with computers and Studio software
Duties
Grass Roots Marketing and Networking
Implement sales process to schedule prospects into Intro class
Membership sales
Proficiency in ClubReady, to include revenue reports, attendance reports, etc.
Independently make decisions related to high level customer service
Collect outstanding dues
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the studio
Enforce Pure Barre policies and procedures
Ensure all forms, administrative supplies, and studio literature is stocked and visible
Schedule and participate in networking/community events and studio promotions
Strategically manage marketing campaigns to generate leads for the studio
Any other duties as assigned
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive hourly rate based on experience & performance.
Commission paid on sales (new membership sales).
Unlimited growth potential within the company.
Free membership to 3 RVA Pure Barre studios.
We do not make cold calls; we obtain people’s info because they provide it to us. This is a sales position, there is always something to be doing – no down time. We set goals on a monthly basis and reaching those goals is important to the health of the studio (keeping our doors open).
Minimum 15 phone calls per shift to prospective members, along with emails and texting.
We are looking for the long term – someone who can work independently within a sales‑heavy environment, who has an outgoing personality, who enjoys talking with people, and must have phone etiquette with eagerness to learn and promote all things Pure Barre.
