The Role At Wella we want to be the best partner to salons. The DSO Account Manager for CT will primarily focus on gaining new Mid to Top Tier Hair Salons leveraging the Wella Color Portfolio and services, while maintaining and growing current Wella customers.
Overall, the role will focus on growing the Wella market share within the defined territory by increasing the penetration of the full portfolio of Wella brands including Wella, Sebastian, Nioxin, OPI and ghd.
Success will be achieved through a highly disciplined journey planning, visiting a combination of existing and prospect accounts daily (an average of 8 calls minimum per day).
Key Responsibilities
Deliver monthly/quarterly/yearly sales targets in terms of overall territory turnover, number of buying accounts and specific brands/innovations/initiatives turnover
Target, profile, and work to convert key prospective salons and spas into customers
Strategically and tactically develop a strong and profitable business partnership with salons
Accurately report and forecast the business which would include monthly sales, promotions, and initiatives
Effectively work with direct manager & cross-functional internal resources to plan and execute strategic plans with excellence
Experience
Self-starter and ability to work independently with clear focus on deliverables
Accountable for the success of the territory – even when not everything is under control; intensively driven & tenacious, determined to get over the obstacles in the path of what need to do
Owner mindset, as if it was your name on the door, as if it was your money being spent and your reputation on the line
Always pushing for more and set higher, braver targets, but never at the expense of ethical behavior and safe ways of working
Effective prospecting and sales skills (at least 12-15 months direct selling experience in field)
Experience in using a consultative approach to business development
Very organized and operating with high level of discipline
Ability to work with all levels of the organization
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree plus 3 years (or MBA plus 1 year) of business experience in professional Salon Industry Sales, Category Management or Retail Management
Effective oral and written communication skills
Digitally savvy
Proficient in the following systems: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. PowerBI experience preferred.
70% in field time including driving to salon/customer meetings
Up to 20% overnight travel
Able to travel via air for training and sales meetings at minimum 1-2 times per year
Valid Driver’s License
We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, skills and in comparison to internal incumbents currently in similar roles. Pay Range: $78,750 - $100,000 salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company’s total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
