Infrastructure & Capital Projects – Test Commissioning Manager

The Test Commissioning Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising commissioning and testing activities for electrical substations, ensuring compliance with technical standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations. Leading multidisciplinary teams during commissioning, providing technical guidance, and resolving on-site issues. Reviewing, validating, and documenting test procedures and results to ensure alignment with design specifications, regulatory requirements, and company standards. Collaborate closely with contractors, design engineers, operations teams, and clients to support successful project execution. Maintaining project timelines, budgets, and safety standards throughout all phases of testing and commissioning. Onsite at client site : The work location for this role will include a mix of working remotely and working onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships. With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements. HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Proven experience in commissioning and testing of electrical substations, including supervision of construction, commissioning, and energization activities. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, protection & control, and substation equipment. Ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams in the field. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills under project deadlines. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Willingness to travel and work on-site across New York State.
