Location: Inova Fairfax Hospital - 3300 Gallows Road, Falls Church, VA 22042. Online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Part time; Days may vary, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Rotating weekends. More details upon interview.

Pay Rate: $15.65 per hour.

Requirement: Prior customer service experience is required. This position requires the ability to read, speak, and understand English. The successful candidate must be able to understand and convey basic instructions, respond to emergency situations, and interact clearly with patients and healthcare staff as part of the essential functions of the role.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for securing patient meal selections and special requests via telephone or face-to-face interactions.
• Follow proper telephone etiquette and procedures with patients, visitors and healthcare professionals.
• Offer alternatives to menu as allowed on prescribed diet in accordance with allergies, cultural, ethnic and religious preferences.
• Respond to patients\' needs at all times. Resolve concerns or complaints immediately or report needed assistance to supervisor.
• Comply with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal food preferences are met within diet order limitations.
• Interact with nursing to ensure patients\' diet prescriptions are accurate and needs are met.
• Adhere to facility confidentiality and patients\' rights policy per HIPAA.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and HACCP guidelines when assembling and distributing food supplies.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in corporate policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Location: Inova Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church, VA.
• Part-time schedule; 4:00 pm–8:00 pm; rotating weekends.
• Prior customer service experience required.
• Must be able to read, speak, and understand English.
