This position provides administrative support. It is critical to our member experience and requires a friendly, upbeat demeanor and a well‑organized person. The incumbent supports the daily operations of the practice, including answering phones, greeting members, handling/distributing postal mail and practice email, ordering supplies, and using Thrivent Financial computer systems and programs to support client relations.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 4:30 PM. Compensation: $20–$24 per hour. In‑office location: Tiffany Springs (Zip Code 64153).

Responsibilities

  • Assist Financial representatives in the preparation and follow‑up for client/member meetings
  • Provide backup support on tasks that do not require licensing or registration for other staff members, as needed
  • Prepare or coordinate routine correspondence, reports, and special project documentation
  • Support projects, administration of programs, and processing functions as required
  • Drive client/member facing activity by scheduling meetings on behalf of the practice’s Financial Representatives
  • Handle incoming telephone calls and respond to information requests
  • Perform routine administrative duties such as maintaining office supplies and processing mail
  • Update the contact management system with client/member contact and preference information
  • Track practice expenses and oversee bill payment
  • Participate in the business planning process
  • Assist with the conversion of paper files to electronic files
  • Complete other miscellaneous tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous administrative/secretarial experience desired
  • Strong technical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or ability to learn
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain high quality while experiencing frequent interruptions
  • Ability to maintain the integrity of sensitive/confidential information
  • Basic understanding of our products, services, and Thrivent Financial

As part of the practice's recruiting/hiring/contracting process, a verification of a candidate's background will be made to complete the hiring/contracting process. In addition, fingerprints will be taken for submission to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for review against nationwide fingerprint records.
