Executive Assistant – Town Administrator’s Office
Location: Orange Town Hall
Salary: $57,000–$63,000 (depending on qualifications and experience)
Status: Full-time, Non-Union, Exempt
The Town of Orange seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to support the Town Administrator and Board of Selectmen. This pivotal role serves as the administrative hub for the office, coordinating meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, managing licenses and permits, and ensuring smooth operations across multiple boards and departments.
Key Responsibilities
Provides direct administrative support to the Town Administrator and the Board of Selectmen
Prepares Select Board meeting agendas, post notices, and record minutes.
Coordinates Town Meeting Warrants and the Annual Town Report.
Assists with licensing and permitting processes, including public hearings and state correspondences
Qualifications
Associate degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
3–5 years of administrative experience; municipal experience a plus.
Strong communication, organizational, and technology skills (Microsoft Office, online permitting systems).
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
