Manufacturing Engineer to join our production and engineering teams in Waco, TX. In this full-time, on-site role, you’ll collaborate with design and fabrication teams to streamline manufacturing processes, improve quality, and help bring innovative custom trailer designs from concept to completion. Who You Are As a Manufacturing Engineer at Kinetic, you’ll bring a strong mechanical and process‑oriented mindset to a team that values craftsmanship and innovation. Detail‑driven and analytical, you excel in fast‑paced environments and collaborate naturally across design and production teams to make great ideas manufacturable. Please provide examples of projects that you designed, developed, and implemented and their outcome. Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to support efficient trailer production. Collaborate with design engineers to ensure designs are feasible for fabrication and assembly. Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and quality standards. Support production teams by troubleshooting issues and providing technical guidance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to productivity, quality, and cost reduction. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues. Assist in layout planning, tooling selection, and workstation optimization. Maintain strong communication between engineering and manufacturing teams. Required Qualifications Strong understanding of programming for CNC plasma and press brakes. Solid understanding of steel fabrication, machining, and assembly processes. Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus. Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and process optimization is an asset. Proficient in SolidWorks and interpreting engineering drawings. Knowledge of manufacturing standards and safety regulations. Strong organizational and communication skills. Self‑motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities independently. Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent. 1‑3 years of manufacturing or industrial engineering experience, preferably in a steel fabrication environment. Proficiency in CAD (preferably SolidWorks), ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience working in a collaborative, cross‑functional engineering and production environment.
