Bonus opportunity:
Quarterly bonus of up to $3,500 per quarter for all Residential, Roll Off and Commercial Route Supervisors. Recognizes safety commitment and core values.
Summary of Position The Residential Route Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily service delivery to residential Waste Pro customers, ensuring safe, timely and cost-effective delivery of contracted services in accordance with Waste Pro practices, procedures and applicable regulations. The position understands Waste Pro Core Values and applies positive leadership principles in supervising drivers.
Essential Job Functions
Directly responsible for supervising drivers and daily operations. Greet drivers upon arrival, ensure pre/post-trip inspections, communicate key service points, safety and equipment issues.
Establish and maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure compliance with company policies.
Share decision‑driving techniques, ensure employees adhere to Waste Pro safety guidelines, reinforce daily safe work practices and assist with weekly safety meetings.
Route new service starts, obtain work orders, schedule deliveries, review productivity reports, reroute non‑performing routes, schedule removal of cans when service cancelled.
Follow routes to maintain a distinguished level of service, respond to dispatch calls via Trac‑Ez system, clarify unique service requirements, address customer issues and inquiries.
Perform route observations to ensure safety procedures, monitor corrals, cans, debris, gate closures, and complete observation reports.
Monitor driver pre‑trip inspections, address findings, review repair issues, ensure mechanical fixes.
Monitor driver time and attendance, route sheets, disposal tickets and compliance with DOT hours of service and Waste Pro regulations.
Complete accident and injury reports; respond to investigations, workers compensation and property damage claims.
Train and orient new employees.
Conduct performance evaluations, track attendance, complete disciplinary actions, attend meetings applying positive leadership principles.
Ensure front loaders are cleaned daily.
Drive and assist on routes to cover shortages; assist drivers behind schedule as needed.
Other Job Responsibilities
Attend and participate in corporation‑sponsored training courses assigned.
Stay up to date with current technology used by Waste Pro USA.
Perform additional duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Work Environment Outside supervising in the field.
