Lead Grants Coordinator

Hourly/non‑exempt hybrid position.
About the Role This role is responsible for written communication to donors, including grant proposals, stewardship reports, informational updates, donor cultivation event support, donor recognition activities, and volunteer management.
Responsibilities
Work with colleagues to maximize programmatic funding opportunities, conducting in‑depth analysis and advising on suitable foundations, agencies, and corporations.
Maintain grant proposals and reporting calendar; personally research and write grant proposals and reports.
Implement best practices on workplace giving for United Way and other foundations.
Identify, pursue, cultivate, and enhance relationships with foundations and government agencies.
Negotiate contracts with foundations and corporations, seeking alternative funding sources.
Provide guidance and collaborate with leaders to develop and execute strategies for building grantor relationships, streamlining the grant process, and increasing support.
Fulfill critical communications and stewardship functions during episodic disasters; support the Disaster Fundraising Action Plan.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree or equivalent.
Minimum 7 years of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Proficiency with MS Office and fundraising database systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce).
Willingness to travel for meetings and conferences within the chapter jurisdiction, state, & Red Cross system.
