Operational Language Analyst (Mandarin Chinese) II

What You'll Do
Perform cryptologic language processing on complex written and spoken materials in Mandarin Chinese.
Translate, transcribe, and gist high-priority intelligence content for operational and analytical customers.
Apply deep linguistic and cultural insight to ensure precision and context in every product.
Collaborate with analysts and mission partners to enhance collection, reporting, and operational impact.
Demonstrate mastery of OLA tasks while working independently in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications & Experience To qualify as an OLA2, you must meet one of the following education/experience combinations:
4 years full‑time relevant experience with an Associate's degree, or
6 years full‑time relevant experience without a degree.
Other Requirements
Active Polygraph clearance.
ILR Skill Level 3 or higher in Audio or Graphic (listening and/or reading) in Mandarin Chinese, validated by a current test score.
4 years of cryptologic language processing experience, including:
2 years primarily translating, transcribing, and/or gisting.
No more than 1 year primarily performing reporting duties.
At least 2 of the last 4 years of experience must fall within the past 4 years.
Defense Language Institute (DLI) graduate status or equivalent formal language training and a passion for applying those skills to real‑world missions.
