A fast growing energy technology company is scaling its commercial team and seeking a Commercial and Business Development Leader who can drive B2B growth across new energy, lithium battery technology, chemical materials, and AI powered scientific solutions.

The company combines advanced materials engineering with machine learning to develop next generation Li Metal and Li ion battery technologies. Their platform uses AI driven material discovery and laboratory automation to accelerate product development for partners across transportation, energy storage, robotics, aerospace, and next generation electronics.

You will be the commercial face of their scientific AI ecosystem, responsible for acquiring enterprise customers, shaping market strategy, and positioning technical solutions for high value R and D environments.

What You Will Do

Lead B2B sales in the new energy and chemical materials ecosystem, managing the full enterprise account lifecycle

Identify and acquire customers for AI enabled smart lab automation and material discovery solutions

Conduct market analysis across energy OEMs and chemical producers to define strategic opportunities

Translate complex technical requirements into clear solution proposals for product and engineering teams

Deliver compelling technical presentations that articulate value across battery and chemical workflows

Manage negotiations through to signed commercial agreements

Maintain deep domain understanding of customer R and D pipelines across battery and material science

What You Bring

Degree in Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field

Early career experience in a hands on technical role, followed by a progression into sales or business development

Proven track record in technical B2B sales, negotiating and closing enterprise accounts

Strong domain literacy across battery materials, lithium battery technology, and broader new energy markets

Preferred Experience

Experience commercializing AI for Science or smart lab automation solutions

Background at major battery manufacturers or suppliers such as BYD, CALB, Wanhua, or similar

Experience selling advanced or frontier technology solutions
