Delivery Specialist

Compensation Pay Range $15.00 - $20.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, or premiums, which may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
Essential Job Functions
Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
Use delivery fleet management hand‑held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform daily inspections, and ensure all vehicle equipment is secure.
Collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns, filling out driver return slips.
Communicate any problems or special needs from customers to store management.
Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damages to the store manager immediately.
Ensure fuel tanks are filled and lock/secure the vehicle at the end of day’s business.
Clock in/out according to company policy.
Perform other duties as assigned, including customer service, sweeping, stocking, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, and checking in and putting up stock orders.
May occasionally assist customers, serve as a cashier, and/or help with merchandising tasks when business dictates.
Required Skills
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
Driving record must meet the standard set in the company’s 14/18‑point record system.
Must possess a legally required state driver’s license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.
Desired Skills
Familiar with automotive parts.
Ability to operate other light store equipment.
Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
