Job Summary
The Night Shift Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for efficient shift operation, proper manpower use, SOP compliance, crew training and motivation, and safe, productive operation. Supervisory responsibility for material handles, selectors, and partial-order pullers.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily processes on the dock and in coolers.
Review, coach, and develop the outbound associates.
Monitor work, adherence to policy and safety requirements.
Issue discipline when necessary.
Interpret company policies for employees, enforce safety and security regulations, and hold daily pre‑shift meetings.
Manage labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
Prepare work schedules.
Perform substitution of items that are not available for selection.
Communicate to sales, purchasing, and inventory control.
Spot check orders for accuracy and quality.
Pull critical care orders or double‑check them for quality and accuracy.
Inspect material handling equipment daily for safe operations and coordinate required repairs with the maintenance department.
Qualifications Education
High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience
1‑year operations/warehouse experience in shipping and receiving perishable products, and/or a combination of education and industry experience.
Professional Skills
Ability to supervise, motivate and train hourly employees.
Able to solve problems independently and effectively articulate and communicate information.
