Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Logistics Coordinator to manage the daily operations of our supply chain, coordinating shipments, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities
Shipment coordination: Plan, coordinate, and track shipments; schedule pickups, deliveries, and transportation with freight carriers, suppliers, and vendors; ensure accurate documentation for shipping, including bills of lading, packing slips, and customs paperwork.
Inventory management: Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels; coordinate with the warehouse team for accurate counts; assist in inventory audits and resolve discrepancies.
Vendor and carrier management: Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and customers about shipping delays, damaged goods, or misdeliveries; build and maintain positive relationships with logistics vendors and freight carriers.
Documentation and compliance: Prepare shipping documents; ensure compliance with local and international regulations; maintain accurate records of shipments, invoices, and logistics operations; support safety standards in warehouse and transportation activities.
Problem resolution: Investigate and resolve transportation delays, damaged goods, or other logistical challenges; implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Reporting and analytics: Prepare and analyze logistics reports, monitor key performance indicators, and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings; implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.
Cross‑functional collaboration: Work with procurement, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless logistics operations; participate in regular meetings to align with business objectives.
Qualifications
2+ years in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and freight documentation.
Problem‑solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAP.
Experience with import/export processes and customs requirements.
Certification in supply chain management or logistics (e.g., APICS, CLTD) is a plus.
Working Conditions
Office‑based role with occasional visits to warehouses or distribution centers.
May require flexibility in working hours to accommodate shipping schedules.
