Seeking a highly skilled
Low Voltage Implementation Specialist
to support the technology build-out and upgrades of distribution centers, retail, production, and office facilities for high-profile clients. This senior-level technical role involves low voltage cabling, network hardware installation, and system integration across a variety of high profile client environments.
T eam Lead, or Management.
Strong drive, attitude, and the ability to handle high-expectation clients are key to success. Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Low Voltage Technician. 5+ years installing fiber optic, copper, and other structured cabling systems. Hands-on experience with network hardware installation, power, and cabling standards. Experience managing on-site deployment teams and coordinating project tasks. Strong technical troubleshooting, documentation, and client communication skills. Must be willing to travel extensively (regional 75%+). Ability to work flexible hours, including late nights (start times as late as 10 PM). Must be able to handle high-expectation clients professionally. Strong drive, work ethic, and a growth mindset. Preferred Qualifications:
BICSI certification OSHA certification Tester certification Exfo/Fluke Additional technical certifications in low voltage, networking, or related fields
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a lead technical resource, providing guidance and troubleshooting for complex deployment issues. Install, service, and integrate low voltage systems including fiber optic and copper cabling, Data Networks, and Wireless Networks. Perform comprehensive testing and certification of installed copper and fiber cabling using EXFO/Fluke Networks testers (e.g., Fluke DSX series, OTDR) to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., TIA/ISO). Utilize EXFO/Fluke qualification tools (e.g., LinkIQ) to verify network connectivity and troubleshoot common network issues. Use multimeters and voltage testers to verify power, test circuit continuity, and ensure the absence of voltage during lockout/tagout procedures. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical diagrams to determine the proper installation path and method for systems. Manage network upgrades at client sites, including Main Distribution Frames (MDFs) and floor-level network closets. Provide technical direction to Deployment teams, ensuring projects follow Computacenter deployment practices and guidelines. Deliver quality solutions within agreed milestone timelines and maintain high customer satisfaction. Analyze technical environments, create documentation, and prepare reports. Present technical solutions to clients and serve as a key point of contact on-site. Lead project teams including consultants, specialists, engineers, and vendors during implementation phases. Perform hands-on deployment work as needed. Work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays to meet customer commitments. Adhere to safety protocols while handling equipment and cabling. Lift up to 50 lbs routinely and up to 70 lbs occasionally; bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching required. Maintain reliable transportation to ensure on-time arrival for scheduled shifts.
