Position Overview FTS is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to help shape, develop, and scale our suite of financial education products. In this hybrid role, youll work in a fast-paced startup environment where adaptability, ownership, and cross-team collaboration are essential. You will contribute across the full stack, building intuitive mobile experiences, developing backend services, and drive technical excellence throughout the engineering organization. As a key technical contributor, you will work alongside product managers, designers, and engineering teammates to build high-performing features, integrate third-party SDKs, and support the growth and mission-driven fintech platform.
Key Responsibilities Build and enhance mobile applications using Ionic, Angular, and JavaScript Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot
third-party SDK integrations Collaborate with designers to turn requirements into polished user interfaces Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js Support cloud-based deployments on AWS (Fargate experience preferred) Use Postman and related tools for API development, debugging, and validation Work closely with product and design teams to plan and deliver impactful features Take full ownership of assigned workfrom initial design through deployment Participate in cross-team projects involving integrations or platform enhancements Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions Contribute to performance optimization, testing, and monitoring
Requirements 5+ years of professional experience in software development Strong background in hybrid mobile app frameworks (Ionic + Angular) Hands-on experience integrating SDKs into production applications Proficient in JavaScript, Angular, and Node.js Experience with AWS, ideally including Fargate Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman Ability to contribute across both front-end and back-end systems Comfortable working in a hybrid, fast-moving startup environment
Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in fintech, edtech, or B2B SaaS Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or infrastructure-as-code Experience mentoring teammates or leading small technical initiatives
