Senior Python Engineer
Im hiring a Senior Python Engineer for a high-growth alternative investment manager running large-scale systematic strategies for major family offices and institutional allocators. This is a senior, high-ownership engineering seat. The role sits at the centre of their core systems: backend services, distributed data pipelines, and AWS infrastructure that underpins the investment engine.
What youll lead: Scaling backend services used across research, trading and client platforms Architecture + implementation of AWS systems (Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, Redshift, S3) Building and maintaining distributed data pipelines and platform APIs Driving reliability, performance and automation across core services Partnering with senior engineers and PMs on technical direction
What youll bring: 6-10+ years building production systems in Python Deep AWS experience across infra + services Strong with data tooling (Pandas / PyArrow / Polars) Comfortable with event-driven + distributed architecture Linux + Terraform/CloudFormation Clear communicator who can operate autonomously
