Locum Wound Care Physician Ohio

We are seeking Locum Wound Care coverage at an outpatient clinic in Batavia, Ohio , to support physician gap coverage between permanent hires.

Required Duties

  • Treating and managing skin reactions , vascular ulcers , pressure ulcers , and diabetic ulcers

  • Preventing skin breakdown and initiating preventative measures

  • Comprehensive wound management and topical therapy application

  • Patient and caregiver education on wound care techniques and ulcer prevention

  • Assessment and treatment of draining wounds and fistulae

  • Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT ) supervision

  • Proper wound dressing instruction and post-treatment follow-up

Types of Wounds Treated

  • Acute wounds (inflammatory, proliferative, and remodeling phases)

  • Surgical and non-healing surgical wounds

  • Traumatic wounds (cuts, punctures, burns, tears)

  • Ulcers (arterial, venous, pressure, diabetic)

  • Chronic venous insufficiency

  • Pilonidal cysts, gangrene, radiation injuries, burns

Treatments Used

  • Bioengineered skin

  • Debridement

  • Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

  • Incision & drainage

  • Negative pressure wound therapy

  • Post-surgical incision management

  • Skin grafting

  • Unna boot

  • Total contact casting

Credentialing

  • Temporary privileging potential

  • Estimated credentialing timeframe available upon request

Submission Requirements

  • Active Ohio medical license REQUIRED

  • BLS REQUIRED

  • ACLS Preferred for HBOT
