MaineHealth Stephens Hospital is recruiting for a highly experienced
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
to work per‑dime in Norway, Maine. The position is a per‑dime role with no call or weekend expectations. Our CRNAs collaborate in a team model and are medically directed by anesthesiologists. Cases include general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, ENT, and endoscopy. Desired Qualifications & Experiences
Education: Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor. License/Certifications: Current active state licensure as a registered nurse in Maine, compliance with state regulations for advanced practice registered nurses, and certification or recertification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists. Experience: Previous experience as a CRNA required. Communication: Highly effective interpersonal, verbal, and written skills to interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Professionalism: Demonstrated involvement in professional organizations, teaching, research, publishing, or certification in a specialty area. Clinical Competence: Ability to perform clinically as a nurse anesthetist in a facility setting and provide appropriate patient care. Equipment Proficiency: Ability to operate, use, and interpret data from anesthesia equipment and support perioperative care. Developmental Knowledge: Ability to assess data reflective of patient needs across life stages and age groups. Insurance: Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer for required limits.
