Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Registered Nurse at NYU Langone Hospital – Brooklyn for the 2025 Fall/Winter New Graduate RN cohort.
Responsibilities
Performs nursing care and outcomes for a group of patients for a designated time frame.
Documents patient assessment, reassessment, progress toward goal achievement, and all other required documentation accurately and timely.
Promotes patient safety and quality, including adherence to National Patient Safety Goals.
Communicates and collaborates effectively with the health‑care team, escalating situations appropriately.
Establishes caring relationships with patients, families, and health‑care team members.
Administers medication and parenteral therapy in accordance with policy and procedure, including blood administration.
Prioritizes patient care delivery, utilizes critical‑thinking skills, and coordinates and completes patient‑care responsibilities independently or appropriately delegating.
Provides patient/family education and assists in discharge planning, considering readiness barriers and alternatives.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary for nursing care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age‑related criteria pertinent to the patients served.
Performs other duties aligned with the mission and values of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN).
Registered Nurse license – New York State.
BLS certification.
Effective communication with all levels of the organization.
Commitment to professional growth and accountability.
