Job Title:
Youth and Family Specialist
Pay Rate:
$51,196 per year
Position Overview:
The Unaccompanied Refugee Minors (URM) Youth and Family Specialist provides culturally sensitive intensive case management, outreach, and direct service to URM Program’s youth in coordination and cooperation with systems including school personnel, educational teams, therapists, lawyers, court personnel, the general public, and intra‑agency collaborators. The URM Youth and Family Specialist is the primary advocate for the child, initiating creative approaches to service delivery and activities that help the youth achieve their potential and work toward a permanent resource and long‑term life plan.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field with 1 year of experience and LSW licensure eligibility
Ability to work within the mission of the agency
Significant experience working with children with social, emotional, or physical problems; mediation and conflict resolution skills helpful
Open to new ideas and desire to grow professionally; flexibility in thinking and scheduling
Possession of a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
Ability to utilize independent sound clinical judgement and decision making with regard to the best interest of children and families
