Summary As a member of the surgical team, the surgical technologist II provides technical assistance to the surgeon during surgical intervention under the supervision of the nurse. The position involves maintaining instruments and equipment in the area of specialization and ensuring the operating room is organized and ready for cases.
Requirements
Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college) with specialized field knowledge.
1–3 years of experience.
American Heart Association CPR certification, Accredited Surgical Technology Course Certificate, and Surgical Technologist Certification required.
