Role: Senior/Lead Backend Engineer Title: AVP/VP Location: Alpharetta, GA (Day 1 Onsite/Hybrid)

Fulltime Mode of Work: 3 days/week onsite required Required Experience: 5+ years

We are looking for an experienced

Backend Engineer

to design, develop, and optimize backend systems and microservices. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Framework, REST APIs, and relational databases. Candidates with higher experience (12+ years) will also be responsible for system architecture, high availability design, and technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using

Core Java

and

Spring Framework . Build and integrate

REST APIs

and

Microservices

that are reliable, scalable, and secure. Work with relational databases including

DB2

and

SQL Server , ensuring optimized queries and data structures. Develop backend functionalities using

Python

as needed. Implement and support batch processing using

Autosys / Control-M . Collaborate with frontend, QA, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems to improve performance and reliability. Utilize messaging and search systems such as

Kafka ,

MQ , and

ElasticSearch . Apply cloud fundamentals for deployment and development in modern environments.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior/Expert Engineers (12+ years): Lead

system design and architecture

for complex backend systems. Implement

high availability

and

resiliency patterns

across services. Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance. Drive performance tuning, scalability improvements, and strategic backend decisions. Utilize advanced messaging and

observability tools

such as

Grafana

and

Loki .

Mandatory Skills: Core Java Spring Framework REST APIs & Microservices DB2, SQL Server Python System design & architecture (for expert level) High availability & resiliency patterns (for expert level)
