We are seeking a Facilities Engineering Project Manager of Critical Infrastructure to join our global media and entertainment client as the right hand to the Director of Facilities Engineering. This pivotal role will lead facility engineering initiatives, managing the project lifecycle from design, construction, and commissioning through ongoing optimization across multiple geographically distributed sites.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
Collaborate closely with the Director to plan, execute, and oversee facilities engineering projects from design through handover.
Coordinate commissioning, retro-commissioning, equipment start-up, testing/training programs, and post-occupancy support.
Prepare project scopes, budgets, schedules, technical specifications, RFPs, bid packages, and change control requests.
Critical Infrastructure Management
Ensure strong maintenance, operations, and energy management practices.
Perform energy audits, feasibility studies, commissioning plans, and life-cycle cost analyses.
Monitor and optimize systems performance across HVAC, power, fire/life-safety, and other critical systems.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Serve as the main liaison between the Director, internal teams, consultants, contractors, vendors, and site personnel.
Conduct project meetings, provide status updates, report risks/issues, and manage resolutions.
Facilitate client dialogues, staff training sessions, and develop O&M documentation.
Compliance, Safety & Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and all local/state/federal regulations.
Develop and enforce safety protocols and operational guidelines.
Oversee quality control efforts including site inspections, design reviews, and submittal approvals.
Continuous Improvement & Reporting
Contribute to sustainability initiatives, energy-saving strategies, and performance metrics.
Prepare technical reports, financial reviews, and leadership presentations.
Promote operational excellence and continuous process improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or related field.
5+ years of experience in engineering project or facilities management roles, preferably within critical infrastructure.
Proven experience managing large-scale engineering efforts including commissioning and system optimization.
Strong technical expertise across HVAC, electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety, and power systems.
Strong project management abilities: scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and risk mitigation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Ability to travel regularly within the NYC - Stamford, CT - Englewood Cliffs, NJ corridor.
Preferred qualifications
Certifications such as CBCP, CEFP, or EPA 608.
Advanced degree or specialized training in Energy or Facilities Management.
Experience in media, higher education, healthcare, or high-availability facilities.

Location & Travel
Based in the NYC Metro Area.
Frequent travel required to: New York City, Stamford, CT, Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $44 - $54 / per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
