The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks a full‑time, board‑certified or eligible family medicine physician with maternity and obstetrics experience to join our graduate medical education program located in Columbus, Ohio. The successful candidate will serve as core faculty in the family medicine residency program, teaching medical students and family medicine residents. Clinical duties include inpatient family medicine service at University Hospital East and prenatal and maternity care, including vaginal delivery, at the Wexner Medical Center. Responsibilities
• Provide clinical care in inpatient family medicine and maternity settings. • Teach medical students and family medicine residents. • Coordinate resident maternity care curriculum. • Participate in quality improvement and program evaluation activities. Requirements
Successful completion of an accredited allopathic or osteopathic medical school Completion of an ACGME‑accredited residency program in an acceptable specialty area FM/Obstetrics fellowship is a plus but not required Eligible for State of Ohio medical license Academic appointment at the assistant, associate, or full professor level (salary commensurate with training and experience) Experience (or equivalent education)
History of providing prenatal services, including obstetrical ultrasound in the outpatient setting Ability to obtain hospital privileges for routine pregnancy care, including vaginal deliveries Experience in coordinating resident maternity care curriculum Active clinical participation in Family Medicine; preferable to have educational and clinical experience as a faculty member of a Family Medicine residency program prior to appointment Devote sufficient time to the educational program to fulfill supervisory and teaching responsibilities Demonstrate a strong interest in resident education Location
