As a Field/Office Engineer II, you will be expected to be a job-site leader in health and safety, ensuring quality of reporting and workmanship, and that all engineering work is completed in a professional and ethical manner. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, your main functions will include contract administration, project planning and scheduling, and project reporting. You will also play an advisory role to Project Management for contractual, legal, and other project issues. We are looking for people who want to work out in the field on major construction projects. This position can be based in any OGC Hub office in Houston, TX; Bloomington, MN; or Lenexa, KS. Projects are across the U.S., requiring willingness to travel and relocate as needed. Responsibilities

Field Engineering:

Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews Perform quantity calculations and measurements Assist in work planning, surveying, and data compilation Support safety initiatives and order materials Coordinate work groups and supervise field operations Office Engineering:

Perform material takeoffs and technical calculations Assist in data gathering, submittals, purchase orders, and project recordkeeping Support cost system data entry and change order generation Estimating:

Analyze historical data for bids Review plans and specifications, and perform quantity takeoffs Qualifications

Degree in engineering, construction management, or related field, or equivalent experience 2+ years in construction Ability to travel and work in various environments Proficiency with construction drawings, Microsoft Office Strong organizational, communication, and attention to detail skills Willingness to work independently and as part of a team Other Requirements
