Job Description
Role Overview We are looking for an experienced
Senior SAP Technical Consultant
with deep expertise in
ABAP development ,
SAP BTP services , and modern extension frameworks. The consultant will design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions across S/4HANA, BTP, and integration landscapes while ensuring clean-core, high performance, and future-ready architectures.
Key Responsibilities
1. ABAP Development (Core & Advanced) Lead complex ABAP development across S/4HANA and ECC environments. Develop custom objects using
ABAP OO, CDS Views, AMDP, BOPF, RAP , and enhancement frameworks. Build OData services (Gateway & RAP) for UI5/Fiori applications. Optimize performance, SQL tracing, code remediation, and follow clean-core development principles. Manage upgrades, migrations, and S/4 conversion technical work (ATC findings, custom code adaptation).
2. SAP BTP Development Design and develop applications on
SAP BTP
using: SAP CAP (Node.js/Java) SAP UI5/Fiori elements SAP Build Apps / Build Work Zone SAP Event Mesh, SAP Cloud SDK SAP Destination, XSUAA, IAS/IPS Build side-by-side extensions aligned with SAP Clean Core. Integrate on-premise systems using Cloud Connector and Identity services.
3. Integrations & APIs Develop integrations using: SAP CPI / Cloud Integration API Management Event-driven architecture (Event Mesh) OData/REST/SOAP Web Services Design and troubleshoot end-to-end data flows between S/4, BTP, third-party systems.
4. Architecture & Technical Leadership Provide technical leadership in project design sessions, code reviews, and architecture decisions. Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Create technical specifications, solution documentation, integration diagrams, and coding standards. Guide junior developers and ensure high-quality deliverables.
5. DevOps, Security & Deployment Familiar with CI/CD pipelines (Git, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, BAS/Cockpit tooling). Manage deployments across BTP subaccounts and transport mechanisms. Ensure secure coding, authentication/authorization setup (OAuth, JWT, XSUAA).
Required Skills & Experience 815+ years of overall SAP Technical experience. Strong expertise in
ABAP, ABAP OO, CDS, AMDP, RAP, BOPF, OData services . Hands-on experience with
SAP BTP development (CAP, UI5, Cloud Integration, Event Mesh, Destinations, XSUAA) . Deep understanding of
S/4HANA architecture, extensibility, and clean core principles . Experience in integrating SAP with third-party systems via CPI/API Management. Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills. Excellent communication and ability to work with functional, business, and offshore teams.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in: SAP BTP Administration & DevOps SAP Build Apps / Build Process Automation Multi-cloud deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP) Fiori/UI5 custom application development SAP Certifications in ABAP, BTP, or Integration Suite (optional but preferred).
