Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Histotechnologist located in Burlington, VT. The Histotechnologist will handle routine histology tasks, including accessioning, grossing, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining procedures. The role also involves performing quality control measures, assisting in pathology-related workflows, and ensuring adherence to laboratory protocols and standards. The candidate will collaborate with other laboratory staff to support accurate diagnoses and maintain a safe, efficient laboratory environment.
Qualifications
Strong foundation and experience in Histology and Pathology processes Certification or eligibility for certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Proficiency in Quality Control and maintaining laboratory standards Solid Laboratory Skills, including attention to detail, precision, and ability to work with lab equipment Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards (e.g., CLIA, CAP) is preferred Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) is a plus Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
