About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for its new IPP division. The successful candidate will be responsible for the P&L of the IPP, leading a small team, and ensuring the division's profitable and efficient functioning. This role involves standing up the IPP, managing a team of 6-8 employees, and finding the right balance of internal and external resources to perform IPP functions. The VP will also be tasked with collaborating with other leaders to raise capital for projects, overseeing the construction of high-quality, on-budget, and on-time projects, and developing the IPP's asset management strategy. A key aspect of the role is to serve and strengthen the core business while maintaining the division's profitability.
Applicants for the Vice President position should have a minimum of 10 years' of experience in renewable energy development, EPC, project finance, and/or operations, with a strong understanding of the financial drivers for an IPP business. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in stakeholder management, the ability to evaluate project economics, and a passion for renewables and decarbonization. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial mindset, be adept at managing a diverse team, and possess exceptional communication skills. A background in project design and construction, as well as experience with power purchase agreements and project finance, is essential.
