As an
Engineering Technician , youll assemble and maintain test systems, support vehicle engineering tests, and collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure high-quality results.
Responsibilities Wiring, low voltage (12v) Maintain and troubleshoot test equipment to minimize downtime. Assemble mechanical structures and prototype wiring per documentation. Perform light fabrication using machining, shop, and hand tools. Document faults, maintenance, and upgrades. Support vehicle tests such as powertrain durability, endurance, transmission abuse, and environmental systems. Transport vehicles and equipment; assist with test prep and driving on tracks and public roads. Communicate issues and provide feedback on equipment and test performance. Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow safety regulations.
Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on technical/wiring experience. Strong mechanical assembly and troubleshooting skills. Ability to lift 45 lbs and use hand tools. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with electrical harnesses and cable connections. Familiarity with hazardous material handling. Knowledge of CAN/LIN protocols. Experience with Jira, SharePoint, and Confluence. Background in vehicle systemsespecially electric vehiclesor robotics. Experience with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and thermal systems.
Rate: $35-$40/hr
