The SharePoint/Purview Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's SharePoint environment, ensuring optimal performance, security, and user satisfaction. Additionally, this role involves overseeing Microsoft Purview, managing data governance, compliance, and information protection strategies across all departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with various departments to support business needs. Key Responsibilities User Management: Manage user permissions, security groups, and site collections. Troubleshoot and resolve user access issues. Site Creation: Create, configure, and manage SharePoint sites regarding document storage and access. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, procedures, and changes. Governance & Compliance: Implement and manage Microsoft Purview policies for data governance, including data classification, retention, and compliance policies. Data Protection: Configure and oversee data protection measures, including data loss prevention (DLP) and encryption. Audit & Reporting: Monitor and generate reports on data usage, policy compliance, and security incidents. Integration: Integrate Purview with other Microsoft services and third-party tools to enhance data governance and compliance. Policy Management: Develop and manage policies for information governance and data lifecycle management. User Training: Educate users and stakeholders on data governance practices, Purview functionalities, and compliance requirements. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's in Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field. Certifications in SharePoint and Microsoft Purview are highly desirable. Proven experience managing and administering SharePoint environments (minimum 3 years). Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview or similar data governance and compliance tools. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SharePoint Online, Sharegate knowledge desired but not required. Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, Microsoft 365 Compliance Center, and related data governance tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
