Position Overview
As an Operations Generalist, you’ll ensure our merchandising and inventory strategies are executed across the Pet Care Center using Petco processes. You will manage efficient operations to meet guest and pet needs, work the truck, stock shelves, clean the store, handle the cash register, and provide an excellent experience for each guest.
Position Responsibilities
- Maintain and inventory the entire Pet Care Center.
- Ensure merchandise is properly stocked, priced, and displayed.
- Process register transactions to create a great guest experience.
- Be proficient in our selling model and support guest interactions as needed.
- Show a strong interest in animal welfare and support animal care procedures.
- Complete training programs to maintain expertise in your role.
- Promote a positive culture of teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration.
- Adhere to operational guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Complete other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Evaluate guest inquiries and refer to the Leader on Duty as needed.

Basic Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in mathematics and above‑average communication skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor with a genuine interest in animals and their care.
- Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills for public interaction and teamwork.
Education & Skills
In addition to a high school diploma or its equivalent, applicants must demonstrate proficiency in mathematics and basic accounting relationships and exhibit exceptional communication skills.

Work Environment
The majority of duties are conducted indoors, with occasional merchandise handling and moving up to 50 pounds. The position requires bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods. A flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is required.

Salary Range
$16.00 - $22.00 per hour
