*Duties*

* Assist licensed occupational therapists in developing and implementing personalized care plans focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs) and functional mobility. * Provide hands-on therapy interventions to patients in various settings, including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health visits. * Support patients in performing ADLs such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting to promote independence. * Document patient progress accurately and timely in compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies. * Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and strategies to enhance safety and functional outcomes at home or in the community. * Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care that addresses medical imaging results, physiology considerations, and anatomy knowledge. * Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards during all patient interactions.

*Requirements*

* Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program. * Valid state licensure or registration as required by local regulations. * Experience working in diverse settings such as skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, inpatient units, or home health environments. * Strong knowledge of occupational health principles, medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy relevant to patient care. * Familiarity with care plans tailored for geriatrics, pediatrics, and general adult populations. * Ability to assist with ADLs across various patient needs and mobility levels. * Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
