Position Summary: The Continuous Improvement Engineer will mainly support the Regional and Site CI Leaders in USA and in Canada in terms of creating a sustainable, data driven, Continues Improvement culture. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Given a video, a Work Order and Work Instructions, be able to provide:
Time study, identifying the Added, Non-Added Value, and Waste activities. Man-Machine chart Yamazumi chart (ability of the line/cell to meet Takt time) Operator and machine workload Identify improvement opportunities and make a proposal Spaghetti chart SMED
Develop and keep updated models used for production line balancing, and manpower calculation. Assess financial savings to be submitted to Finance for validation Mentor team members as they apply Lean methodology and problem-solving tools Publish progress reports Develop paperless data collection forms (e.g. with Smarsheet or MES) Analize data, identify gaps, find root causes and propose solutions (e.g. on Scrap, Efficiency, Utilization, Productivity, Time waste, etc.). Support the Regional and Site CI Leaders producing standard work. Excel, PowerPoint, Teams Problem Solving capabilities Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field 5+ years working experience in manufacturing applying Lean methodologies and problem-solving tools in a Discrete manufacturing environment, including financial calculation of savings, ROI calculation Trained in Lean manufacturing Principles (5S, Waste Elimination, Mistake Proofing, PDCA, Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Lead Time Reduction) Strong analytical skills Automotive or Aerospace experience Statistical data analysis tools proficient (e.g. Minitab, JMP) Green Belt Six Sigma certification Code of Ethics: JB Poindexter (India) Private Limited , requires the highest standard of ethics in all business dealings, with customers, suppliers, advisors, employees, and authorities. This position shall actively ensure that his/her own activities and those of all employees within the project meet this obligation. JBPCO critical standards and procedures related to expected conduct are detailed on the company website.
