Core Tasks, Responsibilities & Scope of Authority
Advise IT and business leadership on capability enablement opportunities; develop and maintain roadmaps and backlogs for relevant applications.
Partner with business teams to understand pain points and identify solutions to improve US sales rep effectiveness, efficiency and experience.
Engage with product vendors to understand and influence release roadmaps that better meet Gilead needs.
Develop and maintain Gilead & Kite specific roadmaps for relevant applications managed by the team.
Work with the DevOps lead and team to ensure backlog is assigned to appropriate scheduled releases.
Leverage existing solutions from the IT toolset and support the business to maximize the benefits delivered from project investment.
Partner with product vendors to understand solutions and capabilities to support business needs – leveraging investments made and extending existing solutions wherever possible.
Project Management
Support US Field Enablement Capability Lead in project planning, scoping, budgeting and assessments; ensure compliance with Gilead Unity 3.0 methodology.
Define, quantify and articulate expected business benefits and other benefits (e.g., compliance) of proposed investments.
Support selection of solutions and third parties required to support identified changes.
Support agile capability delivery wherever feasible to shorten release cycles and deliver business requirements faster.
Utilize Agile DevOps to record user stories, features and epics; lead managed services resources to ensure backlog for each application is managed efficiently and accurately.
Ensure availability of appropriate project plans for implementation addressing organizational, technical, process, change management and training perspectives when introducing new applications or sustaining existing ones.
Define and articulate lessons learned, showcase best practices and maintain a repository for future projects.
Lead post‑project analysis of captured benefits; compare with expected benefits and address deviations, if any.

Undertake personal development activities to ensure core responsibilities are met as the role evolves with business, technology, industry and regulatory changes.
Required Qualifications
5–10+ years in a similar role within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry with applied technical and functional knowledge in HCP account management data products and tools, plus strong understanding of the field enablement space.
Strong techno‑functional knowledge of Veeva Commercial Cloud, including Align, Veeva/Vault CRM, Veeva Events Management, Salesforce platform, Vault platform, Master Data Management and analytics tools.
Strong understanding of systems integration approaches and tools, commercial IT architecture standards, recent advances and best practices.
Comfort working directly with business partners and IT solution providers with minimal supervision.
High level of personal integrity consistent with Gilead’s core values (Excellence, Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity and Inclusion).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a multi‑vendor scenario; vendor management experience is a plus.
Experience through different stages of the systems development life cycle and SLDC methodologies – Agile, Hybrid.
Experience working effectively across a matrixed organization and executing results without direct authority.
Experience providing and driving cross‑functional and cross‑geographical IT solutions to business needs and opportunities.
Compensation Salary range: $195,670.00 – $253,220.00.
This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock‑based long‑term incentives and a benefits package. Benefits include company‑sponsored medical, dental, vision and life insurance plans*.
