As Camelback Ventures scales its impact and influence, the organization seeks a strategic Chief External Affairs Officer (CEAO) who will shape and promote the Camelback brand, public voice, and influence. The CEAO will oversee the branding, communications, public policy agenda, and media engagement while positioning Camelback and its leadership as key figures in social impact investing. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CEAO will collaborate with the Chief Development Officer and manage a team dedicated to implementing strategic goals. The CEAO will drive digital and media engagement, establish dialogue with civic leaders, and develop Camelback’s policy voice, focusing on equitable access to capital for marginalized groups. The role is pivotal in crafting narratives that strategically position Camelback in sectors crucial to its mission. Responsibilities

Serve as a key member of the Leadership Team, collaborating on long-term strategy and organization-wide priorities. Oversee, mentor, and inspire a high-performing marketing and communications team. Guide the development and implementation of a cohesive brand and communications strategy. Lead a government relations strategy to position Camelback as a policy advocate for equitable access. Oversee narrative strategies to spotlight stories from Camelback fellows and community members. Manage relationships that enhance Camelback Ventures’ brand visibility, influence, and power. Foster a team culture characterized by enthusiasm, excellence, and a commitment to racial equity. Requirements

15+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related field, with 10+ years in team management. Strong commitment to Camelback’s mission and values, with a deep understanding of the social impact landscape. Proven experience in digital marketing, policy advocacy, and public affairs communications. Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills to create compelling narratives. Knowledge of SEO, SEM, email marketing, and platform-specific social media strategies. Ability to travel up to 40% for strategic engagements and media opportunities. Benefits
