Maintain detail and explanations for journal entries.* Prepare reports to various agencies as assigned. This includes reports to grantor agencies, Medicaid, and Medicare.* Maintain information supporting the allocation of overhead expense. Allocate overhead for internal and external reporting.* Prepare budget variance analysis reports.* Assist as needed in general accounting functions such as payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. This includes preparation of payroll tax returns and analysis of vendor invoices.* Assist in annual financial audit including preparation of audit schedules.* Assist with preparation of cost reports, grant budgets, and FSR’s as is relevant to general ledger information.* Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Controller or Chief Financial Officer.## Qualifications* Familiarity with accounting software and PC spreadsheets, ten key by touch.* Ability to meet deadlines, work under stress, and manage multiple, changing priorities.* Professional communication and interpersonal skills with a variety of professions and backgrounds is also necessary.## LANGUAGE SKILLS* English required; English/Spanish preferred.## MATHEMATICAL SKILLS* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.* Ability to perform statistical analysis.## REASONING ABILITY* Must be able to compile, interpret, and utilize information.* Must be able to resolve accounting irregularities.## Education and Experience, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, and Medical Screening## EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE* Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a degree in business or accounting, and a minimum of three to five years’ experience as a GL or financial statement accountant.* CPA certificate holder preferred.## ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS* Washington State Driver’s license and automobile liability insurance coverage required for use of personal vehicle in performance of duties when travel is indicated.* Must complete a pre-hire and annual TB test and annual employee health screening.* Annual influenza vaccine required. Only exception is for employees with a medical or religious exemption approved by Administration.
