Associate Director, Financial Services Fundraising
Location:
Midtown Manhattan (Grand Central area) — Hybrid (3 days/week onsite) Compensation:
$90,000–$110,000 base salary Experience Required:
Fundraising success within the New York Financial Services community
About the Role The Associate Director will lead fundraising efforts within the New York Financial Services sector, managing a portfolio of high-capacity donors and executing strategies to grow annual and long-term philanthropic support. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, cultural fluency, and the ability to communicate effectively with sophisticated donors and volunteer leaders.
You will oversee major gift cultivation, solicitation planning, event support, donor stewardship, and division-level initiatives, while partnering closely with internal teams and community stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute fundraising strategies targeting the New York Financial Services community
Manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects; oversee cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
Engage and partner with volunteer lay leaders
Support donor events, stewardship activities, and an annual gala
Collaborate on fundraising messaging and materialsMaintain donor and prospect information using a donor database
Represent the organization at community events (evenings/weekends as needed)
Occasional international travel required
Qualifications
5+ years of philanthropic fundraising experience, including direct major gift solicitation
Required: Demonstrated success raising funds from the New York Financial Services community
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strategic, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
Experience with donor management databases
Mission-driven with high energy and professionalism
Flexibility for evening/weekend events and occasional travel
