Our client is seeking an experienced
Credit & Collections Analyst
to join their team. This role is responsible for managing a high-volume portfolio, driving timely collections, reducing DSO, and monitoring customer credit risk. The ideal candidate comes from a
manufacturing or retail environment , has a
stable work history , and brings strong experience in
collections and account reconciliations .
Key Responsibilities
Manage and collect all receivables within the assigned portfolio to improve cash flow and reduce DSO.
Conduct proactive collection efforts using phone, email, letters, and other communication methods.
Review and analyze credit reports, financial statements, and related documents to evaluate creditworthiness.
Perform bank and trade reference checks and recommend appropriate credit limits.
Monitor customer credit lines and ensure annual updates on all active accounts.
Maintain accurate customer correspondence and deliver exceptional service by resolving credit-related issues promptly.
Record detailed and accurate collection notes in the system; maintain historical activity records.
Collaborate with field representatives to resolve customer disputes and assist with special projects as needed.
Requirements
College degree preferred (Business or related field) or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3 years of strong collections experience , managing a large portfolio of accounts.
Strong account reconciliation skills
required.
Background in
manufacturing or retail
strongly preferred.
Healthcare experience a plus; SAP experience preferred.
Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
